As Switzerland's leading cooperative bank with decentralized structures, Raiffeisen faces the constant challenge of promoting innovation and activating the innovative power of its banks. In order to meet these requirements, a comprehensive and sustainable innovation process was necessary.
Approach
Increasing innovative strength
A sustainable innovation process with a stage-gate process was designed, established and operated. New business models were regularly developed, pitched and validated and successful models were transferred to the operational business. In addition, the Cooperative 2.0 concept was developed, which comprises an innovation process with digital and physical formats and actively involves all cooperative banks. This holistic approach enabled Raiffeisen to increase its innovative strength and make effective use of its decentralized structures.
